Bhubaneswar, April 9 Three girls, including two sisters, drowned in a pond in the Nabarangpur district of Odisha on Thursday, police said.
The incident occurred in the village of Kurshi when they were taking a bath.
The deceased were identified as Bhumika Gond, Sandhya Gond, and her sister, Sanjita Gond, all aged between five and six years, according to a police officer.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and police have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated an investigation, he said.
