Srinagar, April 9 Police in Kashmir seized properties worth more than one crore rupees under the NDPS Act (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) in three separate cases, officials said on Thursday.

Police in Anantnag district seized a residential house and a car, valued at Rs 80 lakh, belonging to an alleged drug peddler, Imran Ahmad Wani, under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act, a police spokesperson said.

In Shopian district, police seized a single-storey residential house worth Rs 15.78 lakh belonging to Mohammad Shafi Khanday.

"The property was acquired using proceeds from the illegal trade of drugs and narcotics," he said.

The spokesperson said police in the Teenz area of Shopian seized an immovable property valued at Rs 10.07 lakh belonging to Mohammad Ayoub Dar.

"The 14-marla property was acquired using proceeds from the illegal trade of drugs and narcotics," he added.
