
New Delhi, April 2 The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) appointed a new Deputy Commissioner (DC) for the Shahdara North zone on Thursday, following the arrest of the previous officer in a bribery case involving Rs 4 lakh.
According to an official order dated April 2, Mamta Yadav, an IAS officer serving as Assessor and Collector in the MCD, has been given the additional charge of Shahdara North Zone DC, effective immediately.
Lieutenant Colonel Abhishek Kumra Mishra, who was on deputation in the civic body, and Devanshu Gautam, an administrative officer, both posted in the Shahdara North Zone, were arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday on bribery charges.
In a related move, Mohit Bansal, currently Director (IT) and a Deputy Commissioner handling Election, Ayush and Unani, has been assigned the additional charge of Karol Bagh Zone Deputy Commissioner.
