Tamil Nadu Politics: Goyal's Demand for Udhayanidhi's Exclusion.webp

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), April 9 Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday challenged Chief Minister M K Stalin to declare that his son and DMK youth wing chief Udhayanidhi will not be appointed as the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Speaking at a press meet here, Goyal accused the DMK leadership of orchestrating a dynastic succession that disregards the will of the people.

"I challenge Stalin to announce that Udhayanidhi will not be the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu," Goyal stated, asserting that the Chief Minister has remained silent because he has already made up his mind.

Goyal further claimed that Udhayanidhi's elevation to the post of Deputy Chief Minister was a clear signal of this intent.

He maintained that such a transition would be rejected by the electorate.

"I am sure the well-educated people of Coimbatore and Tamil Nadu, who understand what is good for them, will never allow Udhayanidhi to become the Chief Minister," he added.
